About
About this blog
I started this blog as a place to share my thoughts and hobbies.
I plan to write about whatever interests me: everyday life, hobbies, and essay-like reflections, mainly for my own enjoyment.
I like Hiroshi Mori’s essays, which move freely between unrelated topics, and I’d like to write that way here.
That’s why I called it “Zakkilog”: a combination of zakki (miscellaneous notes) and log.

I wrote a book to help more people enjoy shogi: Shogi Beyond the Rules.
Kindle Unlimited subscribers can read it at no additional cost. I’d be very happy if you had a browse!
